Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
- Partner with clients, Sales, Marketing, Research, and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and develop strategic advertising solutions utilizing Hearst's full portfolio of brands, products, and capabilities.
- Lead pre-sale planning by collaborating on RFP strategy, research, custom proposals, and media recommendations that align with client goals and business objectives.
- Develop strategic media plans that maximize revenue, achieve client KPIs, maintain profitability, and comply with business guidelines while partnering with Yield teams on pricing strategy and optimization.
- Own campaign execution from order creation through launch, ensuring alignment across media plans, insertion orders, contracts, billing requirements, and internal systems throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, leading campaign kickoffs, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, managing timelines, and proactively identifying optimization opportunities.
- Monitor campaign delivery and performance, partnering with Campaign Management, Paid Social, HearstMade, and other post-sale teams to ensure successful execution while communicating updates and recommendations to clients.
- Analyze campaign results, contribute to wrap reports, identify renewal and upsell opportunities, and leverage performance insights to strengthen long-term client partnerships.
- Act as a senior leader within the Account Management team by mentoring colleagues, recommending process and product improvements, and sharing expertise to continuously enhance the client experience.
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
- 5+ years of experience in media planning, sales planning, account management, advertising strategy, or a related field, with demonstrated success managing complex, multi-channel advertising programs.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong strategic thinking with experience developing media plans that achieve client objectives while balancing business goals.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for opportunity and pipeline management.
- Familiarity with advertising technology platforms and campaign performance management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- This role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule requiring in-office attendance four days per week.

The base salary range for this role is $88,000-$98,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
