Raytheon’s Sensors Unlimited Inc. is the leading developer and manufacturer of shortwave infrared (SWIR) one- and two-dimension focal plane arrays, cameras, and systems. We are seeking a talented III-V wafer fab Process Engineering Technician to add to their Princeton, NJ team. In this hands-on role, you will be involved in all aspects of the productions and R&D lines from diffusion to device singulation. You will work in a cleanroom environment while handling delicate wafers throughout the fabrication process. You will be involved in analyzing data to create new manufacturing methods, increase production yield and solve daily production issues.
What You Will Do
Setup and operate production equipment to process engineering runs and experiments.
Perform process inspections using optical microscopes and other characterization tools.
Assist Engineers in developing new advanced wafer processing methods.
Work with the Operations team to solve daily manufacturing issues.
Work with the Engineers to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product yield.
Support equipment installations, tool qualifications and release of tools to production.
Create and maintain production documentation.
Support facilities with trouble shooting equipment issues.
This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Princeton, NJ.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years’ of prior work experience.
Experience working with (2) or more of the following processes:
Photolithography
Metal and dielectric deposition
Chemical and dry etching
Coating deposition
Wafer metrology tools
Experience working in a cleanroom environment and handling wafers.

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Experience properly handling chemicals using proper PPE.
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Previous semiconductor fab experience.
Troubleshooting experience.
