About the Role
Diodes Incorporated is seeking Experienced Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technicians interested in nightshift to join our South Portland Maine Facility. These positions require a flexible schedule, and the willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, with 3 days on/3 days off.
- Nightshift provides a 15% shift differential on top of the base pay with working hours: 6:00pm to 6:00am.
- Initial work hours may involve daytime training, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 5 days per week for 10 to 52 weeks.
- Work is performed within a clean room environment that requires the wearing of a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses.
- Position may require the use of airline respirators and may require occasional wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, aprons, gauntlets, and full-face masks.
- Requires standing for up to 75% of shift and lifting of objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
- May require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and high voltage.
What You’ll Do
Our Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for multiple activities in support of manufacturing, focusing on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, and continuous improvements. These repairs and procedures are performed in an environment where toxic gas, acids, solvents, high voltage, and kinetic energy hazards may exist. Candidate must be comfortable working around chemicals in a fast-paced industrial setting.

- Axcelis NV-GSD200, GSD200E2, GSDHE, and NV8200P as well as AG Associates 8108 RTP tools and/or;
- Applied P5000, Endura and Centura tools and CMP tool sets and/or;
- CD SEMs: Hitachi CS5000, AMAT NanoSEM & AMAT VeraSEM, DDP: AMAT COMPLUS, AMAT G2 SEM & Rudolph AUGUST NSX-95, Fab Metrology: KLA Tencor, Rudolph, CDEs, Coat & Develop: TEL ACT8, FSI PS2100 tracks & SVG90 tracks, Lithography: ASML 5500 I-line steppers & ASML 5500 DUV steppers.

Who You Are
- Possess an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies or Electromechanical Technologies or Military Equivalent, or other relevant equipment maintenance education/experience.
- Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems that may include support equipment such as servo motors and controllers, stepper motors and controllers, AC motors and controllers, and DC motors and controllers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-pneumatic systems that include solenoid valves, gate valves, high vacuum isolation valves, vacuum pumps and pneumatic logic circuits.
- The completion of all scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repair procedures in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A safety-minded approach is required: employees must be able to learn, understand and follow all safety documentation, specs and protocol, including LOTO. Must also be able to identify any/all safety concerns and regulatory violations in order to eradicate them.
- The ability to consistently take initiative and drive one’s own work at a high level.
- Be cross trained in other areas as needed.
- Comfortable handling chemicals, including acids, bases, and solvents.
- Comfortable handling gas systems, including toxic, corrosive, flammable, pyrophoric, and asphyxiant gases.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical issues and vacuum systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Ability to use digital multimeters and voltage supplies.
- Semiconductor equipment knowledge preferred.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment, and as part of a team.
- The flexibility to work outside of normal schedule, cross train, (learn more than one job or operation) and multi-task as needed.
