KMT Systems, Inc. is a family-owned security and low-voltage technology company serving the Atlanta metro area since 2005. We have offices located in McDonough and Marietta. We provide innovative security solutions including intrusion detection, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, and access control for residential and commercial customers.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage commercial security and low-voltage projects from planning through successful completion and closeout. This position supports projects throughout metro Atlanta and will work across KMT offices and customer locations based on project needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, technically knowledgeable, proactive, and ready to take ownership of project results.
What You'll Do
Manage commercial access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm, and structured cabling projects from sales handoff through closeout.
Review scopes of work, drawings, specifications, equipment lists, labor estimates, and customer requirements before project kickoff.
Develop and manage project schedules, manpower needs, materials, milestones, and completion targets.
Coordinate with customers, general contractors, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
Monitor labor hours, materials, project costs, and job performance to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Identify scope changes and ensure change orders are documented and approved.
Conduct site visits as needed to verify progress, quality, and project conditions.
Proactively identify risks, resolve field issues, and communicate schedule or scope concerns before they become larger problems.
Manage project documentation, punch lists, customer training, system documentation, and final closeout.
What We're Looking For
Relevant experience in commercial electronic security or low voltage systems, preferably including access control and video surveillance/CCTV
Experience leading or managing commercial projects, including schedules, labor, materials, budgets and change orders
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, floor plans, scopes of work, and project specifications.
Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills with the ability to coordinate field teams, customers, general contractors and other project stakeholders.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
