The Security Officer will perform a wide variety of duties required for the efficient operation of a comprehensive and security program to assure the highest standards of protection of personnel and property at Collins Aerospace.

What You Will Do:

Perform a variety of routine and non-routine security activities at our Windsor Locks, CT location with the purpose of protecting Company property and its human resources.
Preserve order and enforces regulations pertaining to employees, visitors, other persons, and the premises.
Screen and control employees, visitors, and vehicles to prohibit unauthorized persons from entering company property and inspect items to prevent contraband being brought in, or property being removed from the premises.
Ensure all material being removed from the facility is accompanied by the proper authorization. Make regular, recorded inspection tours of Company property, being alert to suspicious or unauthorized activity, hazardous conditions, assuring security and fire protection functions are intact. Write reports describing all violations, irregularities or complaints noted.
Direct vehicle traffic on Company roadways and adjacent public roadways as necessary and enforce parking regulations. Issue identification badges, passbooks and maintain rosters of contractors. Respond to emergencies of a security or medical nature. Operate Company vehicles and other powered industrial vehicles.
Monitor and operate a centralized security and/or fire alarm system and associated network, including identification badge-key control system and/or computerized fire alarm, fire detection, suppression, and surveillance systems.
Respond to fire and/or hazmat emergencies, assist in organizing and directing others at the scene utilizing a variety of protective gear and specialized equipment; perform emergency medical treatment on employees and other persons.
May perform training duties within the facility for both Security Officer employees as well as other employees. May perform a variety of other protective services-related duties, as assigned.
You will be working a variation of the 24 on/48 hours off schedule (with 16-hour work days)
12am to 4pm; 8am to 12 am; 4am to 8pm
Training may take place on 1st or 2nd Shift and is subject to the manager's discretion.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
Applicant must be able to obtain Emergency Response Certification.
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
Previous experience in law enforcement or corrections is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

College degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
Previous security experience in the manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, or healthcare industries.

The salary range for this role $26.97 - $36.55 per hour; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
