Job Description

J.W. Jung Seed Company is a family owned and operated mail-order and retail Company that ships quality seeds, plants and gardening accessories to all 50 states. We have six garden centers in the state of Wisconsin with our corporate headquarters located in Randolph, WI.

We offer a variety of Seasonal positions throughout the year.

Shipping/Order Fulfillment – Randolph, WI

• Picking items for orders such as seeds, bulbs, plants, bareroot stock, and gardening supplies
• Replenishing order picking areas with items from various storage locations to maintain an efficient flow of order processing
• Checking order picked items for accuracy prior to shipment
• Packing completed orders for shipping
• Helping in the mailroom to process shipments and palletize parcels for daily pickup
• Must be willing to perform a variety of duties in multiple departments a seasonal needs change

Greenhouse – Randolph, WI

• Plant seeds and transplant plugs in pots and trays to sell them in retail stores.
• Perform daily maintenance on plants, such as watering, weeding, and pruning.
• Assist in preparing and picking orders for delivery.
• Keeping work areas clean.
• General labor, often strenuous, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Garden Centers 

Our Garden Centers are located in Randolph, Sun Prairie, Madison, Fitchburg, Stoughton, and Stevens Point.

• Keeping nursery area and plant beds neat and healthy
• Assisting with watering in the Nursery
• Helping maintain irrigation systems
• Tackling weed control
• Lawn mowing and yard clean up

Indoor/Outdoor Nursery – Randolph, WI

• Potting and planting the items that are sold in our Garden Centers and Catalogs 
• Maintaining nursery stock-hoeing, digging and weeding
• Monitor plants for healthy growth and potential weed, insect, disease, and fertilizer problems in nursery crops
• May operate tractors and other machinery and equipment 
• Maintain inventory and order materials as required

Call Center – Randolph, WI and Madison, WI

• Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner
• Enter in customer contact information and order items
• Provide expertise on products (training provided)
• Data entry of paper order forms
• Respond to email inquiries

Field Worker/General Labor – Randolph, WI

• Hoeing
• Digging
• Weeding
• Potting
• Planting
