POSITION SUMMARY

Come join our Taproom Team for the summer as a Seasonal Taproom Associate! This temporary position will work to fulfill our Statement of Purpose - to exceed guest expectations of Odell Brewing and create an experience that reinforces the brand position and brand strategy. The Taproom Associate is responsible to serve guests and assist coworkers, stock beer and merchandise, tour guide our menu, and keep the place looking great, all with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking to fill 2 open positions: 

POSITION 1:*

  • Friday: 11:30am-5pm
  • Saturday: as needed
  • Sunday: 4pm-8:30pm

POSITION 2:*

  • Saturday: 5pm-12:30am

*Hours subject to seasonal changes. Must have availability for AM, PM, and additional weekend shifts. Hours may be scheduled outside of the above, up to 30 hours per week. Picking up shifts outside of position hours is encouraged.

Duration of Seasonal Position: This position will end in early fall, 2025. We will provide you with two weeks' notice prior to selecting an end date. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Bartending

  • Beer presentation and Odell Brewing quality standards
  • Overall flow and teamwork behind the bar
  • Washing glassware
  • Minimizing beer and merchandise loss
  • Make any necessary changes to the menu and the tap line-up - communicate these changes with the team
  • Routine draft system duties – changing kegs, swapping shells, adjusting nitro, etc.
  • Opening and closing of cash drawers- verify totals, reconciliation and other tasks as assigned.
  • Enter orders and run payments through POS in an organized manner
  • Ensure a fun, enthusiastic and optimal guest experience
  • Clearing and cleaning tables
  • Ensure the entrance, rooftop patio, main level patio, and both floors are clean, organized, and ready to open for business 
  • Assist with problematic guest situations
  • Check temperature, lighting, music, cleanliness, bathroom marketing, and overall guest experience throughout the shift
  • Stocking merchandise and other retail items
  • Abide by all company safety policies and processes
  • Be willing to assist with brewhouse needs
  • Creates and cultivates an inclusive environment for all co-workers and community 

 *Requires occasional travel to our Taproom in Fort Collins for orientation, training and meetings.

 EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  •  Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Must have at least one year of relevant experience, preferably in a taproom or bar
  • TiPS certification required or acquired within 3 months of hire
  • Demonstrated passion and ability to ensure excellent guest experiences
  • Demonstrated positive, motivated, hardworking, and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work long hours on your feet
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and move up to 160 lbs
  • Ability to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment
  • Ability to crouch, bend, lift, climb stairs, and reach.
  • Ability to remain focused and level-headed under demanding situations

COMPENSATION 

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Hourly Rate:  $15.79 hourly plus tips
