As a Screw Machine Operator 1 at MacLean-Fogg, you will be responsible for the basic setup, operation, and monitoring of assigned mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. This entry-level role plays a key part in maintaining production flow, ensuring product quality, and supporting operational efficiency on the shop floor.
Operate assigned screw machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
Inspect manufactured parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards
Perform basic troubleshooting and make routine equipment adjustments as needed
Read and interpret simple blueprints and production documents, when applicable
Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part specifications
Conduct basic machine setups under supervision or per instructions
Accurately complete production and quality documentation
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and production goals
