As a screw machine operator, you install stops, gears, and cams and adjust them to produce parts to client specifications. Your responsibilities include the operation and monitoring of the turning machine and other machinery as each part is made and testing each piece against the blueprints. performing calibration٫ cleaning and other activities. Monitor and properly adjust machine settings. Supply raw material or parts to semi-automated machines. Check parts with precision٫ using appropriate measuring tools.
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties of moving materials and stocking machines as required by production needs.
- Return excess materials to stock, with attached identification. Assist set-up persons in feeding stock into machines when required.
- Keep aisles and work areas clean and orderly.
- Visual inspection and use of measuring instruments to check parts.
- Perform any other related duties as instructed by supervisor.
- Follow prescribed safety practices.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of Hydromat setup experience required
- Must be able to lift and maneuver bar stock on average of 25-50lbs
- Bilingual a plus
- Must be able to stand a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Ability to critical think and troubleshoot
