Job Overview:

Job Title: Scientist (R&D)

**Location: Frisco, TX

**

**Payrate: $30-$33/ Hr. On W2 (Without Benefits)

**Duration: 06 Months (Extension Possible)

**

This role supports the global R&D network by preparing concentrate samples, maintaining accurate technical documentation, and contributing to innovation and cost-optimization projects. It ensures precise formulation practices, alignment of data across systems, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable smooth project execution.

**Key Responsibilities

**

**

**

  • Prepare concentrate samples, ensuring accurate formulation, and alignment with technical requirements
  • Maintain detailed formulation records, including ingredient quantities, processing steps, and sample codes/versions
  • Evaluate concentrate formulations and generate accurate specifications (e.g., appearance, aroma, taste, pH, brix, etc.) to support development and revision of data standards
  • Support ingredient replacement work by identifying impacted formulas and implementing changes
  • Conduct stability checks (accelerated and/or ambient) and communicate results
  • Accurately store, label, and maintain inventory of concentrate samples, ensuring all required details (code, version, date, color status) are clearly recorded.
  • Build and maintain accurate records of concentrate formulations, specifications and batching instructions; ensuring alignment across systems and implementing updates as needed.
  • Provide the Master Data team with all technical and non-technical information required to accurately set up new concentrates and kit designs in SAP, ensuring smooth manufacturing and commercialization.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Adjust to evolving business needs with flexibility and a problem-solving mindset

**Qualifications

**

**

**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques for food/beverage applications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Experience with SAP, Optiva, or similar systems is a strong plus

You should be proficient in:

  • Food and Beverage Manufacturing
