We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Middle School Science Teacher to join a dynamic charter school in the Bronx. This is a full-time, on-site position starting ASAP.

POSITION: Middle School Science Teacher

LOCATION: Bronx, NY 10451

SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM

START DATE: ASAP

Responsibilities

As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Design and implement project-based, NGSS-aligned units of study.
• Collaborate across content areas to make learning rigorous, engaging, and relevant.
• Co-teach in inclusive classrooms, often using an ICT model.
• Lead an advisory group of 10–12 students, serving as their advocate and family liaison.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Support students in preparing for the NYS Biology Regents Exam.

Preferred Qualifications

• NYS Certification preferred in one of the following: Science (Grades 7–12 or Middle Grades), Students with Disabilities, or English as a New Language.
• Candidates currently in progress toward certification are also welcome to apply.
• Experience with project-based learning and hands-on science instruction.
• A strong belief in the power of education to transform lives.
