Job Description
The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties in support of various customers, including:
1. Pulling, staging and loading of material and equipment for delivery
2.Comparing paperwork against material and equipment being shipped
3. Packing and shipping of material and equipment
4. Processing shipping documentation and shipping/carrier paperwork.
5. Selecting the correct material handling equipment to perform tasking
6. Coordinating with peers and government project engineers on pickup and delivery material and equipment at off-site locations, to include, but limited to Bath, ME; Pascagoula, MS; Charleston, SC; Norfolk, VA; Marlton, NJ; and Mayport, FL.
7. Communicating/coordinating with all levels of staff, including Engineering, Production, Testing, Administrative, and Project Management, as well as outside entities, such as government agencies, commands, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), etc.
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $20.81/hr.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary’s County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Skills and Education
High School diploma and at least one year of related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior warehouse experience
Ability to pass a background check to gain access to all government sites/locations and databases

Preferred Skills and Education
Prior inventory management system experience
Ability to operate a forklift
Current CDL
