Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician I to join our team, where you will support the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electronic security systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist with the installation and wiring of electronic security system components (e.g., cameras, sensors, control panels)
  • Perform basic system tests to verify proper operation of security equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with security system hardware and wiring
  • Use standard hand tools and electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters)
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Follow all safety and security protocols on job sites
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment
  • Communicate with team members, supervisors, or customers regarding job status and issues

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in electronics assembly, testing, or repair (internships or school projects acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with standard electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic electronic circuit issues using logical problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other standard electronic test instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
