Job Description

Operates horizontal band saw, vertical band saw, and deburr parts after cutting.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

**

1. Position materials in work areas and yard.

2. Operate machinery as instructed to cut and deburr raw material according to cut sheets and prints.

3. Use hand tools to assemble or disassemble parts or assemblies as directed.

4. Assist others in work assignments or work as instructed by the Shop Supervisor.

5. Maintain a safe working environment; promote and follow safe work practices; comply with company safety policies.

6. Maintain a clean and orderly work area; clean up employee work station at the completion of each job or at the end of shift.

7. Perform all other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS

**

High school diploma, G.E.D., or one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience as determined by the Shop Supervisor or the Operations Manager. Strong math and communication skills required. Ability to read a drawing and design documents accurately. Ability to read a tape measure is required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
