Job Summary: Saw Shop team members are responsible for blasting and delivering material to our weld department with outstanding service in a safe manner and must be able to manufacture in a fast paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Saw Operator Duties:

  • Utilize overhead crane to transport and store material of various sizes in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform quality inspections of all material upon arrival and during the handling process.
  • Review cut lists and work orders to prioritize tasks and ensure high demand needs are met in a timely manner. 
  • Operate automated saws and other equipment to cut material to the appropriate size per specifications. 
  • Utilize tape measure and other equipment to ensure the cuts made are accurate. 
  • Ensure your safety and that of your co-workers by following all safety procedures and wearing all required PPE while working with associated equipment and material.

Requirements:

  • Work experience in a fast-paced production environment with multiple competing demands is helpful.
  • Must be able to work 10-hour shifts, 4-5 days per week depending on demand.
  • Must be certified or able to become certified to use an overhead crane, forklift, and other equipment to move material.
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, squat and kneel continuously.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE at all times while performing duties.
