Job Overview:
Saw Operator
We are hiring a Saw Operator to work in a manufacturing/metal processing environment cutting aluminum materials to customer specifications. This position will operate industrial saw equipment used to cut aluminum bar, plate, and other materials to the correct dimensions.
Responsibilities
Operate various industrial saws, including band saws, aluminum bar saws, aluminum plate saws, Tsune/Tsuni saws, and similar cutting equipment
Measure and cut aluminum bar, plate, and other materials according to work orders and specifications
Read and use a tape measure accurately
Set up saws for different material sizes and cuts
Load and position material onto saw equipment
Verify measurements before and after cutting
Monitor saw operation and make basic adjustments as needed
Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and quality
Label, organize, and prepare cut material for the next stage of production or shipment
Perform basic machine checks and routine maintenance such as changing blades or reporting equipment issues
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures when handling metal and operating machinery
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience operating industrial saws or metal-cutting equipment preferred
Experience cutting aluminum, steel, or other metal materials is a plus
Comfortable working with band saws, plate saws, bar saws, Tsune/Tsuni saws, or similar equipment
Able to read a tape measure and understand basic measurements
Mechanically inclined and comfortable working around industrial machinery
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to lift, move, and handle metal materials as required
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
Related experience may include: Saw Operator, Machine Operator, Metal Fabrication, Aluminum Fabrication, Metal Cutting, CNC Saw Operator, Band Saw Operator, Plate Saw Operator, or Bar Saw Operator.
