Job Overview:

Description

Summary

Unloads and receives raw material in accordance with packing slips. Verifies counts, accuracy of material orders, and validates composition of material using Niton gun. Receives material into ERP system and prepares material and router for release to production floor. Receives all excess stock into ERP and stages in inventory for future release of orders.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks using forklifts.
  • Verify material using various forms of gaging.
  • Document all findings onto packing slips.
  • Receive raw materials into ERP system.
  • Forward paperwork to documentation and request routers from Customer Service.
  • Filling out routers with appropriate information and schedule due dates.
  • Verifying alloy composition with Niton gun.
  • Performing one of the three standard configurations; RAB, ROLLIN, saw into billets
  • Perform hardness/conductivity checks when required.
  • Complete required paperwork, provide accurate counts and stage material.
  • Verify and measure material returned from shop floor.
  • Placed returned material into ERP, dotpeen required information on bar and store on racks.

  • Ability to locate information / interpret work instructions and validate product conformance
  • Effectively uses process, equipment, tooling and follows sequence of operations
  • Cares for parts in accordance with procedures (Corrosion Protection/Handling/ FOD)
  • Work to standard and contributes to continuous improvement; communicates issues to team leader in a timely manner

Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements:

Requires the use of acquired knowledge, high school diploma or GED.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to perform the duties of the job applying basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic mechanical skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities.


Physical Demands

Regularly required to reach and grasp with hand. Occasionally lifting up to eighty pounds from a standing position, regularly lifts up to 50 pounds. Good vision to read precision measuring instruments. Regularly perform repetitive movements of finger, hand, arm, and occasionally shoulder.
