We are currently accepting applications for a Sanitation Technician in our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton, WI, conveniently located north of Janesville. The Sanitation Technician will work 9-hour shifts, 12:00 pm-9:30 pm, Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday, starting January 1, 2025.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for sanitation of the general plant and grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Clean plant walls, floors, ceilings, windows, hallways, stairways, offices, main entrances and other work areas.
Clean locker rooms and rest rooms; including, toilets, showers, sinks.
Clean break rooms and appliances; including, dishwasher, ice machine, refrigerator and freezer, etc.

Ensures inventory, safe handling, correct measurment, and proper usage of cleaning chemicals.

Responsible for the documentation and inspection of their work on the master sanitation schedules (MSS).

Attend team, safety, and quality meetings and complete the necessary training / certification required as needed.

Replenish bathroom supplies and hand washing sinks as needed.

Pick up refuse from plant gounds.

Transport and return waste and cardboard bins to designated areas.
Back up Sanitiation Lead on the production floor.
Operate floor scrubber, forklift and other material handling equipment as needed.
Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms before and after events.
Maintain regular attendance at work and work overtime as needed.
Work in a safe manner and follow company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous sanitation experience is preferred.
Ability to speak and write in English.
Ability to perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with and without the use of a calculator.
Experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.
Basic computer skills would be helpful.
