We are currently accepting applications for a Sanitation Technician in our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton, WI, conveniently located north of Janesville. The Sanitation Technician will work 9-hour shifts, 12:00 pm-9:30 pm, Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday, starting January 1, 2025.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for sanitation of the general plant and grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Clean plant walls, floors, ceilings, windows, hallways, stairways, offices, main entrances and other work areas.
  • Clean locker rooms and rest rooms; including, toilets, showers, sinks.
  • Clean break rooms and appliances; including, dishwasher, ice machine, refrigerator and freezer, etc.
  • Ensures inventory, safe handling, correct measurment, and proper usage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Responsible for the documentation and inspection of their work on the master sanitation schedules (MSS).
  • Attend team, safety, and quality meetings and complete the necessary training / certification required as needed.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies and hand washing sinks as needed.
  • Pick up refuse from plant gounds.
  • Transport and return waste and cardboard bins to designated areas.
  • Back up Sanitiation Lead on the production floor. 
  • Operate floor scrubber, forklift and other material handling equipment as needed. 
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms before and after events.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work and work overtime as needed.
  • Work in a safe manner and follow company policies and procedures. 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Previous sanitation experience is preferred.
  • Ability to speak and write in English.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with and without the use of a calculator.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills would be helpful.
