Job Description
- Supervise daily sanitation operations, including cleaning, sanitizing, and inspection of equipment, production areas, storage areas, docks, breakrooms, restrooms, and other assigned facility areas.
- Lead, coach, train, and hold sanitation associates accountable for performance, attendance, safety, and quality of work.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure sanitation schedules are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, GMPs, food safety standards, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas and equipment to verify cleanliness and sanitation effectiveness.
- Ensure proper use, handling, labeling, and storage of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain sanitation records, cleaning logs, chemical usage records, inspection reports, and corrective action documentation.
- Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and safety teams to address sanitation concerns and facility needs.
- Investigate sanitation issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Support internal, customer, third-party, and regulatory audits as needed.
- Ensure sanitation equipment is properly maintained and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels of sanitation supplies, PPE, chemicals, and cleaning tools.
- Enforce safe work practices and ensure associates use required PPE.
- Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, counseling, and performance feedback for sanitation team members.
- Communicate shift updates, sanitation concerns, staffing needs, and operational issues to management.
- Promote a clean, safe, organized, and respectful work environment.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior sanitation, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or food production experience preferred.
Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, sanitation procedures, chemical safety, and workplace safety standards preferred.
Ability to read and follow cleaning procedures, safety instructions, chemical labels, and written work instructions.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
