Shift: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
Hourly Rate: $26.17 an hour + $.75 shift differential
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will lead sanitation operations that support food safety, quality, and production readiness at our Archbold, Ohio facility. You will coordinate sanitation activities, train team members, ensure equipment and production areas are properly cleaned and sanitized, maintain chemical inventories, support production startup activities, and promote compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards. You will serve as a key resource for the sanitation team while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and audit-ready operation.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Train new team members and partner with experienced employees to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and sanitation practices.
- Maintain inventories of sanitation chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Review work schedules and sanitation assignments, gather required supplies and equipment, and ensure all required personal protective equipment is worn before beginning work.
- Complete sanitation documentation, reports, forms, audits, and other required records accurately and on time.
- Inspect cleaned and sanitized equipment, tools, and machinery and complete required verification paperwork and sign-offs.
- Assist in preparing machinery and production areas for cleaning by removing product residue and disposing of materials in designated containers.
- Remove barrels, totes, and other materials from production areas and prepare equipment for sanitation activities.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble machinery, conveyors, guards, rails, lids, and related equipment as required.
- Prepare and apply approved cleaning and sanitizing solutions and thoroughly clean equipment, tools, and production surfaces.
- Operate high-pressure cleaning equipment to wash and rinse machinery and production areas.
- Dry equipment, tools, machinery, ceilings, and floors and restore equipment to operational condition following sanitation activities.
- Communicate equipment concerns, support troubleshooting efforts, and partner with Maintenance to address repair needs.
- Support production startup activities, quality checks, and production readiness verification.
- Verify process orders and confirm required supplies are available before startup.
- Complete production reporting in company systems and documentation processes.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, clear minor equipment jams, and reset equipment for production runs as needed.
- Comply with all company safety policies, Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, 5S standards, and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
- Lead by example and support a positive team culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Complete required chemical training and safely work with approved sanitation chemicals.
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
- Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills.
- Accurately complete reports, records, inspections, and required documentation.
- Support departmental staffing needs and perform multiple functions within the department as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work in different areas throughout the shift.
- Take ownership of personal safety and contribute to a safe work environment for all team members.
- Be a motivated team player who collaborates effectively with others.
- Previous sanitation, food manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices is preferred.
Physical Requirements

- Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
