Sanitary TIG Welder

We are seeking an experienced Sanitary TIG Welder to support ongoing maintenance, installation, and improvement projects throughout a food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role is primarily field-based and involves performing high-quality stainless-steel welding on process piping and production equipment while maintaining strict sanitary and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sanitary TIG welding on stainless-steel process piping and related equipment.
• Execute welds that meet food-grade sanitary requirements and facility quality standards.
• Support installation, repair, modification, and maintenance of process systems across the production floor.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including machine parameter adjustments and purge procedures.
• Read and interpret basic drawings, work orders, and fabrication requirements.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, maintenance projects, and production-related improvements.
• Perform occasional fabrication and support work in the maintenance shop as needed.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience performing sanitary TIG welding on stainless steel.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent welds on process piping systems.
• Understanding of weld preparation, purging, fit-up, and inspection requirements.
• Ability to work independently in active manufacturing environments.
• Comfortable working throughout a production facility, including elevated and confined work areas when required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Environment

• Approximately 95% field work throughout the production facility and 5% shop work.
• Workload may vary based on maintenance priorities, equipment needs, and capital improvement projects.
• Fast-paced industrial environment requiring flexibility and strong problem-solving skills.
