Sandblasting Technician

We are currently hiring a Sandblasting Technician for a manufacturing/production environment. This position is responsible for preparing metal parts and wheel components for finishing by using sandblasting equipment to remove rust, scale, grease, and other surface contaminants.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces
• Remove rust, scale, grease, and other contaminants from parts
• Create the proper surface profile for finishing and coating
• Mask or protect designated areas prior to blasting as needed
• Load and unload parts into blast cabinets/equipment
• Inspect completed parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Record production information accurately in the company system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Assist with other production duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous sandblasting, manufacturing, industrial, or production experience preferred
• Comfortable working with industrial equipment and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Dependable with good attendance
• Ability to work in a physical manufacturing environment and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to learn; training can be provided for the right candidate
