 The intern’s primary function is observing & supporting our sales team. The Sales Intern spends a large portion of their time shadowing our sales management, learning how to qualify leads, prepare proposals, interact with customers, and close opportunities. Big Top will support the intern's capstone project efforts, if applicable.  This is a paid, temporary role that does not offer insurance, paid holidays or vacation time. This is not a remote role; interns are expected to perform their duties from our location in Perry, FL.

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $20.00/Hour


Duration of Role: This is a temporary position lasting for a single school semester. Estimated duration is August - November 2025. Start and end dates are flexible.   

Requirements

  Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with systems and processes such as CRM, ERP and other tools.
  • Familiarization with the B2B Industrial selling environment with the manufacturing context.
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, collateral, and other communications.
  • Interface with a diverse customer base comprised of business owners, government officials, purchasing agents, and members of the public during the selling process. 
  • Assist in creating marketing campaigns including literature, social media, direct mail, and web content as well as other administrative support for selling activities. 
  • Complete a capstone presentation detailing initiative during internship. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills & Abilities: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

Education and Experience:

  • Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, and be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, or similar field.
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus.

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to accurately exchange information with co-workers, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as copiers, printers, and telephones.
  • Normal office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Interns should expect to work 25 hours per week but may flex their schedule within normal office hours.
