Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a blend of engineering education and proven sales experience who thrives in a customer-facing environment. The Sales Engineer will drive business growth through outbound sales efforts, relationship development, and technical solution selling within manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing the full sales cycle and possess a strong understanding of industrial automation or related engineering technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activities, including cold calling, road drops, prospecting, and relationship-building efforts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing and ongoing account development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and industrial customers
  • Identify customer needs and recommend technical solutions that align with operational goals
  • Deliver product presentations and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and project execution
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline activity within CRM systems
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales environments
  • Engineering education/background required (Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent engineering schooling/training)
  • Comfortable with outbound sales activities, including cold calling, road drops, and proactive prospecting
  • Experience managing a sales cycle and developing customer relationships
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Technical Experience

Candidates must have hands-on knowledge or experience with at least one of the following:

  • Pneumatics
  • Electrical Sensors
  • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Robotics Vision/Motion Control
  • Structural Aluminum & Extrusion Systems

Preferred:

  • Experience selling to or working directly with manufacturers
  • Background in industrial automation, controls, or engineered solutions
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and close new business

You should be proficient in:

  • Bachelor's Degree
