Sales Development - Base Salary + Commission-
We are looking for someone local to city of Chicago.
To be honest, hiring people in hybrid roles that live far away, “work from home” 3 days a week and “come in” 2 days a week to the office for 4 hours and leave for the day because of the commute, has not shown results. And this was before "work from home" was a thing.
That being said, schedule flexability would also grow as the employee develops. Work from home would be considered once the sales professional has established a proven, successful track record.
Mandatory:
-“Hunter” for new accounts to develop from scratch.
-Experience with CRMs.
-Even though the majority of our current customers are coast to coast, no travel is needed, this is a office position were 95% of the work can be done. Travel would be way further down the line as the employee grows and becomes more seasoned.
Plus+ (higher end of pay range):
-Experience quoting plastic injection molding parts and tooling (small volume a plus)
-Experience with Quoting machining jobs, low volume (plastic AND metal a plus)
-Experience selling in the Defense Industry would be great
*Not looking for some polished applicant with 20+ years, I have found those tend to do the least work. We believe that people who have a natural drive, and a desire to chase their own success are the ones that fit best.
**So maybe you don't have the experience mentioned above in manufacturing, in plastics, or metals. Do you have the hunger to learn more, and develop a sales plan and follow through with it? If yes, then forget about the previous experience, and don't be afraid to apply. But if you do not have previous experience, we will need a gameplan from you, on how you see yourself jumping into the role, self development, and a sales generation gameplan along with hunting / quoting / pricing /estimating new projects.
