**OVERVIEW:
**
This position is responsible for obtaining new business, supports the launch of new business, and protects existing business. The Sales engineer/account manager supports the Sales department by gathering essential data, preparing quotations, and coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure effective sales operations.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
**
Obtain new business, support launch of new business, and protect existing business.
Collect and organize support data related to sales, customer needs, and market trends.
Understand and analyze process costs to provide insights for pricing and cost optimization.
Work with production and engineering teams to verify product availability and manufacturing capacity
Handle Quarterly/yearly price adjustments by market conditions – update quotation and issue Price Change Form (PCF)
Create quotations based on client requirements and company pricing structures.
Prepare and maintain sales documents and keep accurate records.
Prototype management with internal Prototype/APQP team.
Create/manage CTR to Prototype, purchasing, or other Dynax group for supporting.
Position requires 10% to 25% travel to local North American customers and global Dynax locations.
Position is based in the Roanoke VA Office.
Ability to communicate and work effectively in close proximity with co-workers to inform them of work-related problems, production updates, and to plan, organize, and complete job tasks.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
**
Four year college or university degree in either Business, Finance, or Engineering, or 4 year technical degree. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of working experience in manufacturing industry and automotive industry desired. Knowledge of automatic transmissions, dyno testing, and manufacturing methods preferred. Ability to effectively manage conflict with customers and team members. Demonstrated excellent technical verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated organizational skill in managing time, projects, and resources. Strong MS Office computer skills for communication and customer presentations.
