The Safety Manager is responsible for developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned):
· Evaluates practices and procedures to assess risk and ensure adherence to the law.
· Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
· Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
· Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
· Administer worker’s compensation program to include recording, investigating, and reporting workers compensation claims.
· Maintain EPA/MPCA records.
· Maintain OSHA injury and workers compensation records.
· Maintain DOT driver files.
· Supports and conforms to Quality Management System requirements as defined by CEG and ISO 9001:2015.
· Supports other CEG facilities as needed.

Education and/or Experience preferred:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
· Extensive experience in safety and facilities
· Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Syspro computer programs
· Strong communications and interpersonal capabilities
· Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Integrity that is above reproach
