Position Summary
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support workplace safety initiatives and help maintain compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with supervisors and employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment through training, inspections, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about workplace safety in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and maintaining workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Support employee safety training, including safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in facility inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with investigations involving workplace incidents, injuries, and near-miss events, including documentation and follow-up activities.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and related documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Track safety supplies, PPE inventory, and equipment inspection schedules.
- Promote safety awareness and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives and programs.
- Support compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Communicate safety-related information effectively with employees and supervisors.
- Monitor and report hazardous conditions and unsafe work practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the company’s safety program.

- Working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, or other applicable safety standards preferred.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree, technical certification, or coursework in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Internship, co-op, or prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification after hire.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel on a limited basis, as required.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout a manufacturing facility as required.
