Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team in Baytown, TX, 77523. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees. You will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting training, and monitoring safety practices throughout the facility. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Advise management on safety compliance concerns and preventative measures.

• Conduct employee safety training, awareness, and compliance programs.

• Maintain safety documentation and OSHA 300 injury logs.

• Prepare reports with corrective and preventative action recommendations.

• Conduct accident investigations and determine root causes.

• Monitor workplace safety practices and enforce company safety rules.

• Perform additional duties assigned by management or Human Resources.

Qualifications

• Industrial safety experience preferred.

• Knowledge of OSHA standards.

• High School Diploma required with at least 5 years of related experience.

• Certifications or degree preferred: OSHT, CSHT, CSP, ASP, SSH, or CSHO.

• Ability to read and write in English required .

• Must be bilingual.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety coordinator or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

• Certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are a plus.
