Many of our CITY team members began their careers in Service roles like this one. The Route Service Representative role is a hands-on, customer-facing position that plays a key role in our daily operations.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for delivering clean products to customers, collecting soiled items, and ensuring routes run safely and efficiently. You’ll build strong relationships with customers, maintain high service standards, and help represent CITY positively in the field.
This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. You’ll work closely with your Route Supervisor and teammates to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent service.
Fill in for or assist on any of our 17 service routes as needed
Provide prompt, friendly, and effective customer service
Load and unload delivery trucks with clean and soiled laundry
Deliver products accurately and on time to customer locations
Maintain customer satisfaction and professional relationships
Manage route efficiency while following all safety standards
Communicate positively with customers, potential customers, and coworkers
Maintain strong product knowledge (pricing types, colors, sizing, inventory control, availability, and product application)
Properly load trucks, including organization of invoices, paperwork, bags, and garments
Maintain account appearance (rails, hanger racks, repair bags, lockers)
Communicate truck maintenance needs promptly (repairs, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, accidents)
Drive a commercial motor vehicle for up to 10 hours per day
Lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis
Maintain hygienically clean standards through proper garment handling
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required
1–2 years of job-related and/or customer service experience preferred
Must be 25 years of age or older

This position operates in a professional office and field environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
