RE Tech Advisors is committed to the transition to a climate workforce. In support of that commitment, we are seeking a talented and experienced Rotational Program Manager to manage our Sustainability Rotational Program, as well as support the management of RE Tech’s onboarding program and supervisor training. The successful candidate will be experienced in training and development methods and have a deep passion for developing others.
The Sustainability Rotational Program provides on-the-job training in a wide range of knowledge, skills and abilities needed for a career in sustainability in the built environment. This program supports early career professional and those seeking to make a career shift into the sustainability space. RE Tech’s Sustainability Rotational Program fosters camaraderie among peers while exposing the participants to different areas of work in sustainability and across RE Tech.
This position is located within our McLean, Virginia office. After a successful onboarding, the position is open to a hybrid work model that includes a mix of in office and work from home, as well as flex scheduling.
Essential Job Functions / Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage RE Tech’s Sustainability Rotational Program. Management activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain the KSAs and experience needed for roles across the business. Utilize this data to inform the education, exposure and experienced needed in the Program.
- Design and implement cohort activities and trainings to support their development, providing a sense of community, and increase engagement among team members.
- Work across departments to obtain work assignments. Oversee the assignment of work. Monitor team members workload and capacity, ensure they receive the opportunities to support teams as necessary to develop their KSAs and experience to pursue their career goals.
- Work with department leads to understand future hiring needs. Coordinate with department leads to determine readiness of team members to graduate onto their teams.
- Managing the hiring process for the program, including recruitment activities, and candidate screening and interviewing.
- Serve as the Supervisor of all team members in each Rotational Program cohort. Establish clear performance expectations and goals for Rotational Program team members. Conduct regular performance check-ins to help team members reach their potential.
- Develop, implement, and manage program metrics and key performance indicators, highlighting successes and opportunities.
- Obtain feedback (at least annually) from program graduates and across the business. Identify opportunities improvements and assess the program’s potential for long-term business impact and evolution.
- Manage the transition of program graduates to their new team. During the transition period, continue to serve as the employee supervisor, and oversee and monitor the transition to a new supervisor. Serve as an ongoing, trusted resource to program graduates.
- Work with RE Tech’s Leadership Team to evolve and expand the Rotational Program.
- Manage RE Tech’s Supervisor Training Program, in coordination with the Director of Human Capital and under the direction of the Talent Development Team. Identify and recommend training needs and courses, recommend and oversee the supervisor learning path, and host monthly supervisor trainings. Ensure all Supervisors are properly trained.
- Manage RE Tech’s new hire onboarding program. Maintain and expand the program as needed, with input from department leads. Ensure all new hires complete all necessary onboarding training and activities.
- Support other training development and management needs, as assigned.
- Know and follow company policies and processes.
- Perform all other duties as needed and assigned.

Required Education and/or Experience
- 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years of experience serving in a similar role within a professional services firm.
- At least 2-3 years of experience operating as a supervisor, including as a manager of Gen Z employees.
- Experience handling day-to-day task and project management.
- Experience with cross-collaboration and internal stakeholder engagement.
Preferred experience, but not required
- Experience in a consulting and/or advisory services firm.
- Interest and/or experience in a sustainability field.

Periodic travel may be required for the role. Local travel is required for recruitment activities.
