In this role, you will lead a skilled group of technicians and machinists, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of rotating equipment. Your expertise in mechanical troubleshooting and manual machining will be essential as you oversee daily shop activities and foster a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and machinists, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
• Oversee the repair, maintenance, and assembly of rotating equipment, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
• Utilize mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Coordinate workflow and schedules to optimize shop productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the shop environment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and assist in inventory management.
• Collaborate with other departments to support project timelines and objectives.

• Proven leadership and people management skills, with a track record of successfully supervising teams.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or mechanical environment.
• Proficient in manual machining techniques and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
