TITLE Water Spider – 2 Positions

SHIFT 2nd Shift (2PM – 10:30PM)

Summary/Purpose
The Water Spider /Material Handler is a skilled and well-trained person who makes the rounds supplying parts, assisting with changeover, providing tools and materials, and any additional help needed to maintain Standard Work and keep the flow going.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
• Supporting departments by accurately and timely handling of in-process product and finished goods
• Pitch-based work such as sealing and palletizing a box containing multiple finished units or pulling components from storage locations to deliver to the lines
• Updating of status and visual metrics
• Moving kanban signals and ensuring FIFO integrity is maintain through the Value Stream
• Visual inspect FIFO lanes and supermarkets / storage locations and document abnormal conditions
• Maintaining departments components market with min / max quantities and replenishing them on a fix interval
• Support the department lines by monitoring the part washer.
• Weigh count production and enter data on spreadsheet/software in computer
• Support departmental goals concerning housekeeping, safety, quality, productivity, delivery and Standard Work/5s/Lean.
• Maintains knowledge of current quality and safety systems and other regulatory compliance

• Must be able to lift 40lbs.
• Standing/walking long hours.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as requested.
• Must work with a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be able to maintain composure and focus when completing assigned tasks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have good organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma/G.E.D. required
• 3+ years forklift experience preferred

• Work is performed in a normal manufacturing area.
• Must be able to stand up for 8 hours.
• This position has an exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, electrical power distribution and controls, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, steam distribution and generation, water, various types of lubricants, chemical and wash baths, extreme heat, mechanical machine operation, etc.
• Will be regularly required to climb, stand, sit, and reach with hands, fingers, and arms.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
• This position requires regular lifting of work up to 40 pounds, and push or pulling work up to 125 pounds with proper equipment.
