A growing and progressive robotic welding equipment supplier is seeking an experienced Robotic Field Service Technician to join our team in Tipp City, Ohio. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician experienced in robotics, welding applications, troubleshooting, and field service support. Remote candidates will be considered depending on location.

**Key Responsibilities

**

**Essential Duties

**

  • Provide technical support to customers including installation, startup, preventive/corrective maintenance, system modifications, and ongoing application support.

  • **Perform emergency corrective maintenance in the field

    ** using advanced troubleshooting on a wide range of robot models and peripheral equipment.

  • Deliver in-depth troubleshooting via phone for customers experiencing equipment or application issues.

  • Perform on-site and in-house preventive and corrective maintenance.

  • Follow all company and customer safety standards while working in the field.

  • Complete all service-related paperwork accurately and on time.

  • Communicate service-related issues to Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and coordinate sales opportunities.

  • Provide technical support to other Field Service Technicians and distributors.

  • Assist customers with application, process, and robotic welding issues both in the field and by phone.

**Secondary Duties

**

  • Support Customer Service with identifying repair parts and spare parts needs.

  • Perform in-house and on-site demos for customers.

  • Assist with in-house and on-site training sessions for both standard and non-standard training programs.

  • Help customers with equipment modifications, upgrades, or retrofits.

  • Partner with sales and assist RSMs during customer visits when requested.

  • Perform courtesy visits and initiate service contract opportunities with customers in the region.

**Qualifications

**

**Required Education & Experience

**

  • **Associate’s Degree in a technical field

    ** or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • **3–5 years

    ** of related technical or field service experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of robotic repair experience (Required).

**Required Skills & Knowledge

**

  • Strong understanding of robotics, welding applications, electronics, computers, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and diagrams.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to travel 25–40%, with capability to travel up to 50% when required.
