JOB SUMMARY:

The robot programmer will be responsible for programming and maintaining all production robots in the Sauk Centre facility.

Education: High School Diploma
Related Experience: 2 years
Supervision Given: None
Supervision Received: Project Manager

Qualifications


Essential Specific Job Duties:

  1. Efficiently program Fanuc robots for GMAW welding applications.
  2. Program welding robots for new and existing weld fixtures.
  3. Program the robots using both local and remote programming software.
  4. Utilize simulations to develop cycles times for the manufacturing process.
  5. Maintain software and firmware updates for the robots and the weldpath software.
  6. Provide input on existing, current, and future fixture builds, based on understanding the limitations of each weld cell.
  7. Ensure that all assemblies are being welded to the engineered specifications and tolerances.
  8. Complete all implementation and runoff of production parts for new fixtures.
  9. Train and mentor production operators.
  10. Troubleshoot basic error codes and machine breakdowns.
  11. Keeps safety and ergonomics as highest priority while building equipment or changing a process.
  12. Maintain outstanding blueprint reading abilities so that Engineering and the Fixture Designer/Builder can communicate the design and function intent of the product.
  13. Maintain the ability to operate all measuring devices, power tools, hand tools, some light equipment, and specialized equipment as it relates to the project.
  14. Works a flexible schedule as needed to accommodate the project deadlines or operational dates in order to have minimal impact on the production teams. (early starts, nights, weekends)
  15. Maintains extremely good attention to detail for the accuracy and success of physical equipment builds, and overall projects.
