Job Title:  Automation Technician 

Wage Range:   Hourly with Bonus

 Reports to: Production Manager

Job Summary:

 The Automation Technician is responsible for supporting the robotic welding, press break and other automation equipment.   Implements programs to ensure the quality, safety and performance of the robotic welding and other automation to support the company goals.  Finds ways to improve productivity of the welding robots.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  (Other duties may be assigned): 

• Ensures safety and quality standards are being followed
• Improve uptime in the robotic welding cells
• Undertakes emergency troubleshooting of robotic weld cells
• Assists in the maintenance of the robotic weld cell and other automation
• Offers strategies for improvement to maximize efficiency through automation
• Communicates findings to coworkers and management
• Recommends changes and upgrades to management
• Trains employees on automation equipment as needed

Education and/or Experience:

• A strong background in Industry and Manufacturing 
• Experience in automation and / or robotics.
• Knowledge of welding, assembly, painting and material handling .
• Smart and exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Integrity that is above reproach
