POSITION SUMMARY

The Post Sales Project Manager will communicate between the customers and the company throughout the production of their fire apparatus. They will produce change orders based off mid-point and final corrections. The Post Sales Project Manager will work with employees on the floor to ensure all specs are met and any issues are fixed. Also, they will answer any questions and inquiries produced by customers and dealers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer's Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Communicates between the customers, dealers, and departments within Rosenbauer throughout the production of the fire apparatus.
  2. Answers any questions and inquiries produced by customers and dealers, with direction provided from mentor/trainer (upper classes of project managers).
  3. Produces change orders based off mid-point and final corrections, review pricing and verbiage with mentor/trainer (upper classes of project managers) prior to releasing to change management and dealer/customer.
  4. Works with employees on the floor to ensure all specs and clarifications are clearly understood.
  5. Meets with customers to assist in the proper creation of the truck (preconstruction meetings); a mentor/trainer (upper classes of project managers) may attend.
  6. Update customers with photos and information regarding their fire apparatus through the construction processes.
  7. Listens to production issues on a truck and documents solutions for deficiencies found, with mentor/trainer (upper classes of project managers) guidance.
  8. Converts Quote Writer files into various Excel sheets for other departments use.
  9. Communicates with dealers through phone calls and monthly meetings via video conference calls.
  10. Reviews files in conjunction of other departments for the production release of the complete spec sheets.
  11. Provides status updates to dealerships over pre-production and change order processing.
  12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred.
  • 1+ years of sales or customer service experience required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of firefighting processes and equipment preferred.

Skills:

Language:

  • Able to find, read, and interpret relevant business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Able to write reports and business correspondence in a professional manner.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions and communicate new information that could affect project trajectories.

Math:

  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Computer:

  • Able to perform intermediate PC functions including the use of spreadsheet tables and formulas.

Abilities:

  • Able to deal with problems involving a variety of variables in non-standard situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to read and understand specs.
  • Able to apply strategy and mediate between customers/dealerships and Rosenbauer to ensure peak satisfaction from both parties.
  • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
