In this role, you will work closely with RF, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and assembly teams to take products from initial concept and prototype through production. You will help develop manufacturable designs, production documentation, tooling and fixtures, and support testing and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production standard work and assembly instructions for RF filters and subassemblies.
  • Support new product introduction and transition of products into manufacturing.
  • Develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with prototype builds, design reviews, product testing, and root-cause analysis.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering change documentation.
  • Design and develop mechanical housings and hardware for RF filters and integrated RF assemblies.
  • Integrate circuit card assemblies, connectors, and RF components into precision-machined mechanical housings.
  • Collaborate with RF and electrical engineers to ensure mechanical and electrical designs work together effectively.
  • Support qualification and environmental testing.
  • Use CAD software such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for 3D modeling, detailed drawings, and tolerance analysis.
  • Support material selection, process improvement, and production readiness.
  • Apply design-for-manufacturability principles to improve quality, efficiency, and production capability.
  • Follow all applicable safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product development, mechanical design, manufacturing, RF products, or electronic products.
  • Experience integrating PCBs, RF structures, connectors, and other electrical components into mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with RF or microwave products.
  • Understanding of mechanical considerations affecting RF performance, including grounding, shielding, and thermal management.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience supporting prototype-to-production transitions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Environment
