Job Summary:

The Rewinder Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the rewinder machine to convert large rolls of film into smaller, finished rolls according to customer specifications. This role ensures quality, efficiency, and safety standards are consistently met.

Shift: 6pm-6am

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday OR Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate rewinder machines based on work order specifications.
• Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished rolls for quality (e.g., correct size, alignment, label placement, and absence of defects).
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of rewinder equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and log material usage and downtime.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished products.
• Keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience of operating rewinder or similar machinery preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or diagrams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends if needed.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to loud machinery and industrial conditions.
• Frequent use of hands and manual dexterity to handle materials.
• May require working in a temperature-controlled or non-climate-controlled environment.
