Job Overview:

ESCO is seeking a Retail Supervisor for the company's Norfolk, Virginia market.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Exchange locations on specific military bases in the United States as defined by Region Manager

 

SCOPE:

  • Complete daily tasks as assigned at Exchange locations  
  • Supervise a team of Base Managers (BMs at Convenience facilities on military bases in the United States as defined by specific Geographical Area)


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Responsibilities can include but are not limited to any of the following tasks:

Call on Exchange locations and complete tasks as assigned:

  • Maintain proper call frequency
  • Fill store shelves w/back-stock if opportunities exist
  • Secure display activity and build displays as needed
  • Scan store for missing items via hand-held device and obtain missing distribution
  • Conduct inventory checks and write orders for all VON related items
  • Responsible for shelf Management
  • Facings – Resets – Communicate Auto Replenish issues – Pricing – Coupons – POG Compliance
    • Check code dates and proper rotation
    • Write up/Return ‘out of dates’ as outlined in specific Manufacturer’s policies
    • Place Point of Sale as directed
    • Report low or out of stock issues to Facility Manager
    • Complete Call reporting procedures in technology while in store
    • Other projects/requests as requested or assigned by Region Manager


SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Timekeeping, Approving BM hours
  • Manage and affect relationship with clients and store management positively
  • Train BMs to execute displays, promotions, demos, and implementation of new items
  • Shelf management to include share of shelf; pricing; item positioning; Plan-O-Gram sets; customer’s re-ordering systems; Point of Sale, coupons, and other basic merchandising tasks
  • Training and supervision of Base Managers to follow company processes & procedures
  • Achieve call frequency objectives for Area
  • Communications and reporting in a timely fashion utilizing the technology provided
  • Other projects/requests as needed by the Senior Leadership Team

Explanation of lifting, temperature restraints, and other working conditions:

1. Build, install and move various racks weighing up to 80 lbs. with two or more people

2. Freezer work at 0°F

3. Store resets and client visits in local market


Pay rate is $19- $20 per hour and 28 hours per week.
