Job Summary

The Retail Division Manager  for Concentric/All Battery Center, is responsible for overseeing daily operations of two locations of our Interstate Batteries retail stores. This position reports to the General Manager and will have 5 – 8 direct reports.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Creates and implements marketing strategies designed to grow the business to reach targeted goals and objectives. Works with Sales Team to acquire new business within region/territory.
  • Develops and implements      methods and procedures for monitoring store activities, such as sales, expenditures, progress reports, etc., to inform corporate office of the current status of store activities.
  • Interprets company policy to employees and enforces safety regulations.
  • Analyzes and is accountable for P&L, department budgets, to identify needs and/or reductions and may allocate operating funds.
  • Monitors cash flow, sales performance, inventory control, cash with sales receipts, and operating records to identify variances in FY financial plan and implements action plans around variances.
  • Ensures compliance with established security, sales, franchise rules, and record keeping procedures and practices.
  • Coordinates the development of key performance goals for direct reports.
  • Ensures the overall delivery and quality of the products to customers.
  • Provides ongoing customer service as needed by addressing all questions or concerns regarding accounts, products, and services, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Communicates strategy and results to department employees.
  • Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Key Performance Measurements:

  • A score card that reflects performance in areas such as sales revenue, sales growth, gross margin and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolving/managing customer complaints.
  • Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information. Other key metrics prescribed by Concentric Finance & Accounting leadership, resulting in positive customer and Company impact. 
  • Other key performance measurements as assigned by supervisor.


  • Associate degree from an approved two-year college or university, plus equivalent experience. 
  • Must have 5-7 years of managerial experience, preferably in a retail customer service environment.
  • Should have previous experience managing budgets & P&L, developing marketing strategies, sales development, and staffing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
  • Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
  • Capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently with a sense of urgency.
