About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Environmental Project Manager to oversee asbestos, lead, and mold abatement and remediation projects from inspection through completion. This role is ideal for someone with a background in construction, restoration, environmental services, or remediation who enjoys leading projects, solving problems, and helping customers through challenging situations.
You'll work closely with homeowners, insurance representatives, inspectors, and field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage asbestos, lead, and mold abatement projects from start to finish.
- Conduct site inspections and document project conditions with photos and detailed reports.
- Communicate with homeowners, insurance companies, tenants, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
- Perform environmental risk assessments and identify project needs.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality, and safety.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and job files.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DHS, DNR, and applicable state regulations.
- Coordinate with field crews and state inspectors.
- Troubleshoot project challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience managing construction, restoration, remediation, or related field projects.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher.
- Restoration, remediation, environmental, or construction industry experience.
- Knowledge of asbestos, lead, and mold remediation practices.
- Experience with Xactimate, Encircle, Matterport, PSA, or similar software.
- Industry certifications such as:
- OSHA
- WI DHS Asbestos Inspector
- WI DHS Lead Safe Renovator
- IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, CDS)
- NIMS Certifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk uneven terrain and active construction sites.
- Comfortable working in environments affected by fire, water, mold, or structural damage.
- Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hand and power tools.
- Regional travel throughout the tri-state area as needed.
