Job Overview:

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled, highly motivated Residential Electrician with 5+ years of residential field experience for a one week project. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in single‑family homes, multi‑unit residences, and small residential developments. The ideal candidate must be proficient in wiring, panel work, and fixture installation, possess a sharp eye for reading residential blueprints, and be capable of working independently or leading small crews to complete projects safely, on time, and up to code.

Core Responsibilities- Wiring & Circuitry: Expertly install and route branch circuits, receptacles, switches, and lighting systems. Perform service upgrades and panel replacements.

  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret residential electrical layouts, one‑line diagrams, and architectural plans to accurately map out wiring and device placement.

  • System Installation: Install and terminate panels, breakers, outlets, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, and smart home devices.

  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose, test, and repair electrical malfunctions in household systems, circuits, and devices with minimal supervision.

  • Code Compliance: Ensure all installations strictly comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, and local residential building codes.

  • Customer Service: Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding project scope, timelines, and safety practices.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Guide and mentor apprentices or helpers on‑site. Coordinate with general contractors and other trades to keep projects on track.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of true residential electrical field experience (single‑family homes, apartments, condos, or similar).

  • Technical Skills: Proven mastery in wiring, panel installation, and residential blueprint reading. Experience with troubleshooting household electrical systems.

  • Tools & Transport: Own a complete set of standard hand tools of the trade. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Physical Stamina: Able to climb ladders, work in attics, crawl spaces, and tight areas, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Professionalism: Strong communication skills for interacting with homeowners and contractors. Reliable, punctual, and safety‑minded.
