We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and commissioning residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, mini-split systems, and package units.
- Remove and replace existing HVAC equipment safely and efficiently.
- Install and modify ductwork, refrigerant lines, drain lines, gas piping, venting, and electrical connections as required.
- Properly charge refrigerant systems and verify performance according to manufacturer specifications.
- Start up and commission newly installed equipment.
- Perform system testing, airflow balancing, and operational inspections.
- Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
- Complete installation paperwork, job documentation, and required photographs.
- Educate homeowners on the operation and maintenance of their new HVAC system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Work closely with installation helpers, service technicians, warehouse personnel, and management.
- Participate in on-call or overtime work as needed during peak seasons.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Required).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, refrigeration cycle, airflow, electrical components, and installation best practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Familiarity with local mechanical and building codes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to lift 75–100 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces.
- Ability to safely use ladders, power tools, and testing equipment.
