Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and take an active role in device preparation (pre-cleaning and decontamination) and product shipment to Medline ReNewal. Make recommendations and improvements as necessary.
  • Coordinate the packing and shipment of collection containers and labeling/organizing products in the facility’s stock room to simply identification of reprocessed devices.
  • Assist in the OnDemand training process and set up designated system users for Auto Notifications. Utilize OnDemand to present operational data and management reports as directed by management including facility scorecard to highlight reprocessing savings and waste diversion results.
  • Identify products that are able to be reprocessed and then offer suggestions to key personnel regarding savings opportunities. Make regular rounds throughout the facility to address questions / concerns and assist in device flow processes.
  • Educate and train staff on the value of reprocessing and reprocessing best practices. Observe cases and monitor case flow to ensure optimum reprocessing steps are taking place (or to identify areas of improvement).
  • Take part in In-Service sessions as directed by Account Manager or Regional Sales Director. Conduct 1-on-1 and small group feedback discussions and use of survey tools to gather information.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year minimum experience in a hospital or operating room setting or similar environment

Certification / Licensure

Ability to receive and maintain hospital certification to access assigned facilities.

Additional

  • Experience communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in accomplishing tasks in an optimum order based on time, importance or other criteria.
  • Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, and dependable vehicle with insurance to use in travelling between multiple hospitals.

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Some college or Assoc. degree as Surgical Tech or related field.
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • Surgical Tech experience.
