Key Responsibilities
Repair and Modify: Fix broken, bent, or worn-out steel racks, containers, and returnable packaging used in automotive manufacturing.
Welding Operations: Perform MIG welding (and basic metal fabrication) to join, reinforce, or rebuild structural metal components.
Blueprint Reading: Read and follow shop drawings, blueprints, or direct work instructions for precise modifications.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep welding tools, torches, and shop machinery clean, safe, and in good working condition.
Safety Compliance: Follow all plant safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean workspace.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Proven experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication, ideally within an industrial or automotive manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Ability to operate welding equipment, cutting torches, and standard hand or power tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift heavy metal parts, and work in a hands-on shop environment
