Job Overview:
Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Portland, ME branch. We are looking for a rental operations assistant with experience in the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. In this position you will be responsible for assisting the Rental department with all activities related to rental operations and administration.

Responsibilities include:
- Perform inbound and outbound trailer inspections.
- Take and maintain trailer photos and assist with marketing submissions.
- Assist jockey as needed and support them on certain jobs.
- Receive tire deliveries and roll them into the shop as needed.
- Conduct a monthly trailer and tire inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service with existing and new customers.
- Assist Rental with various other tasks such as:
- Fueling up all yard equipment
- Keeping yard clean and safe
- Light cleaning of rental offices
- Weekly meter readings
- Running errands as needed
Requirements:
- Experience in the heavy-duty truck/trailer/transportation industry is preferred.
- Work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must by detail oriented, and able to handle multi-tasking regularly.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Must have good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, problem-solving attitude.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
