Position Overview:

The Reliability Technician supports the facility reliability program by performing predictive maintenance inspections, equipment condition monitoring, and reliability data collection across plant assets. This role focuses on identifying early indicators of equipment degradation through predictive technologies and inspection routines. The Reliability Technician works closely with the Reliability Engineer and Maintenance teams to detect emerging issues before failures occur. This position supports monitoring of critical manufacturing equipment including electrolysis systems, strip casting equipment, hydrogen furnaces, jet mills, powder processing systems, presses, conveyors, dust collection systems, vacuum systems, and plant utility infrastructure.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform predictive maintenance inspections including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound monitoring, and lubrication analysis.
  • Conduct equipment condition monitoring inspections on rotating and process equipment.
  • Perform reliability inspection routes across production equipment and facility utilities.
  • Document equipment health conditions and report abnormal findings to the reliability engineering team.
  • Support development of predictive maintenance routes for critical equipment.
  • Assist with equipment criticality verification and reliability data collection.
  • Support bad actor analysis by identifying recurring equipment issues and failure trends.
  • Upload inspection findings and reliability data into CMMS or reliability monitoring systems.
  • Assist with verification of equipment condition following maintenance repairs.
  • Support lubrication management and oil sampling programs.
  • Assist reliability engineering teams during failure investigations and root cause analysis activities.
  • Monitor condition of motors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, fans, and other rotating equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or Instrumentation Technology preferred.
  • 3–7 years of experience working in industrial maintenance or predictive maintenance roles.
  • Experience working with rotating equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, and gearboxes.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring, infrared thermography, or ultrasound inspection.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
