Job Description
You will be the Reliability Engineer for the Rotary Wing Sensors / Apache Program Integrated Technical Operations Center (ITOC). Our team drives the reliability of critical avionics, sensor, and LBFCR systems for the RWS, Apache, and LBFCR programs, delivering data backed solutions that keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently.
What You Will Be Doing As the Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for shaping and executing reliability focused studies, experiments, and statistical controls that meet company, customer, and regulatory objectives. You will work side by side with senior engineers and external stakeholders, guiding major program milestones and, when needed, stepping into a project leadership role.
Your responsibilities will include: 
• Designing, coordinating, and conducting technical reliability studies and Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate engineering concepts.
• Recommending design, test methods, and statistical process control procedures that achieve target reliability levels.
• Compiling and analyzing performance reports, process control statistics, and variable data to pinpoint reliability risks.
• Developing mathematical models to identify high risk units, batches, or processes and proposing corrective actions.
• Specifying environmental testing requirements and determining the minimum sample size for statistically valid validation.
• Collaborating with senior internal and external personnel on complex technical issues, ensuring seamless coordination across organizations.
• Guiding the successful completion of major program deliverables and, when appropriate, leading project teams.
• Monitoring corrective measures to verify they meet accepted reliability standards.

Basic Qualifications
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university
• Must be familiar with reliability and maintainability activities for military products
• In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex problems
• Individual must be a self-starter capable of effectively managing multiple tasks
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word) 
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance
Desired skills
• Experience with AH-64 Apache sensors maintenance activities and operations. 
• Previous flightline experience supporting the AH-64 Apache 
• Strong Excel skills, with ability to create complex spreadsheets and analyses.
• Familiarity with Asset Management System (AMS)
• Experience teaming with suppliers and government customers to develop products
• Ability to work in a cross-functional IPT environment
• Experience to read aircraft maintenance data and generate technical reports
• Strong organizational skills and be detailed oriented towards technical project management
• Experience in a lab environment to perform testing on aircraft hardware

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
