About the opportunity:

As a Test Automation Engineer/Release Manager you will need a solid foundation in test automation tools and strategies as well as a fundamental understand of the process of building and deploying software in both cloud and desktop environments. You will use your skills to develop automated tests to validate software functionality and scripts to automate the process of approving software to be deployed to production environments.

What your contributions will be:

  • Own the testing automation strategy, test data management strategy, and test automation for assigned work
  • Maintain existing test automation frameworks for all applications that automation currently supports
  • Write, debug, and execute code used in both API and UI automated testing efforts
  • Define, implement, and manage processes and “best practices” regarding automated testing
  • Establish processes to continually review and select manual test cases for automation test suites
  • Provide metrics on business process and code coverage for automated test suites
  • Present test results to stakeholders
  • Recommend improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing teams and reduce technical debt
  • Own the process for validating and approving software for deployment
  • Develop Automation that will enhance and accelerate the deployment approval process

What you will bring to the team:

  • Attention to detail
  • A strong testing mindset
  • Working experience in automated testing frameworks including Selenium
  • Experience coding in C#
  • Experience working in Micro services architecture and testing restful API’s
  • Working experience with software test tools and processes, building and testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and databases
  • Working experience of scripting and configuration tools
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies

What you will need for success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • 3+ years of working experience in a quality assurance and test automaton position
